During your first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask you about your background history, current challenges, and your goals for therapy. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you might have about the therapy process. The first session is a space for you to share whatever you’re comfortable with and we will work together to identify what you hope to achieve. By the end of the session, we’ll discuss a plan moving forward and how we can work together to meet your needs and goals.

The length of therapy can vary depending on your individual needs, goals, and progress. Some clients may find that a few sessions are enough to work through a specific issue, while others may benefit from longer-term therapy to address deeper or more complex challenges. Typically, therapy sessions last 50 minutes and are scheduled weekly or biweekly, though the frequency can be adjusted as needed. Together, we will regularly assess your progress and determine the best course of action to help you achieve your goals. Therapy is a flexible and ongoing process that works at your pace.

Yes, everything you share in therapy is confidential. Your personal information and anything discussed during our sessions will not be shared with anyone without your explicit consent, except in certain circumstances required by law. These include situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or if there is a legal obligation to disclose information. I will always discuss any potential exceptions to confidentiality with you in advance. Your trust is important, and I strive to create a space where you can speak openly and honestly.

At Haven Therapy Co., the cost for individual therapy is $210 per hourly session. Couples therapy is $235 per hourly session. While each session is 50 minutes in length, it is billed for one hour to account for the additional 10 minutes spent on session documentation. We accept e-transfer, debit, visa, mastercard, and AMEX. If you have any questions about fees or payment, feel free to reach out.

This is dependent on your insurance company. I recommend checking with your insurance provider to confirm if they cover services from a Registered Provisional Psychologist.

Currently I am only able to direct for Alberta Blue Cross, Medavie Blue Cross, and Greenshield.
For other insurance providers, please check to make sure that they cover Registered Provisional Psychologists and I’d be happy to provide you a receipt for you to submit for reimbursement.
